if u do glue it, superglue will hold well. ive glued legos with superglue as sub-structures for sculpts.

My five year old just got a lego style Spiderman playset (mega blocs, i think...)

I really dont want him to dismantle it and loose all the pieces. So I'm thinking about glueing it.

Has anyone else done this? What glue works best? Modelers glue, superglue or plain ole white glue????

I used to build my own space ships out of those Lego/Mego/ whatever blocks.

I used to use standard model glue, but that was over 15 years ago - may want to buy a small set and try it with that. It held good as they are still down at my parents in one piece after all these years.

Elmer's I would think would work as well, also with the chance to pry the peices apart in the future if he really got into them and wanted to combine other sets with this one to make something original

My honest advice is to not glue it. While you might not want to lose any of the pieces, you severely take away from the intention of the set if you make it static. Not to sound like an educator, but there is a lot more to these sets than just setting them up and playing with them.

They're great puzzle/problem solving toys. And by gluing it, you'll lose that particular aspect of it.
